Funding
The 2008 Flow Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that we will be able to offer a limited number of travel stipends to assist with travel to the conference. We will be offering approximately 10 stipends of $200 each. Priority for travel stipends will be given to the following groups (in this order):
- Graduate students
- Non-profit organization representatives
- Non-traditional academics
- International scholars
- Full-time faculty
Interested parties should send us an e-mail requesting assistance. Please indicate whether or not you have any additional sources of travel funding (from your department, university, or other). Also, please type “Request for Travel Assistance” in the subject line of the e-mail.
Please send your requests by August 15, 2008. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis based on financial need and the status of the applicant. In the event of a large number of requests by graduate students, the conference organizing committee will employ a lottery system to determine recipients. Final decisions will be made by August 31, 2008.
